Terms Of Business
All items are purchased on a twenty-one day return privilege from the date of postage. However items must not be cleaned, polished or otherwise worked upon neither should they be substituted for others of lesser quality! This has actually happened! They must be returned in the same condition in which they were sent received.
All references to gold silver and bronze refer to the colour only and not the content, unless specifically stated.
Please note: I am a collector who sells to improve his collection. I am not a full time dealer.
Postage Charges
Postal charges are becoming more expensive all the time. Postage is charged at the current post rate. All pieces,as a minimum requirement are sent recorded delivery in the UK. Royal mail registered or Parcel Post are used when requested and are generally recommended for items over £45 Approximate recorded delivery costs are:
All medals, badges and small items from £5.50
Medium size items, cased medals, belts, caps etc from £6.00/ £15.00.
Books. From £6.50 up. They are generally heavy!
Large items bayonets daggers, swords, helmets etc From £10.00 up according to weight.
Insurance if requested : Registered and Recorded post is always used, Insurance varies generally approx £3 up to £500..
Minimum in the UK is Recorded delivery, Registered Post by request at an additional cost . For additional postage costs please enquire.
Where postage has been cheaper than expected an allowance or refund will be made (by agreement).

OVERSEAS (Anywhere outside the UK)
Overseas Postage is always sent registered insured. For example, currently, a medal sent insured to Australia or the USof A costs in total £10.00 .and a sword because of its length starts from. £40.00.

Payments may be made in any way that is easiest for you:
by Money Transfer or Cash in a Registered envelope.
A Sterling cheques and Euro cheques are acceptable. International money orders are fine.

Cheques or Money orders must not be payable to: Saxonia or Saxonia Militaria ........Sorry they will be returned!

Cash payments must be made by registered post only at your own risk, I'm afraid.
PayPal is also available. ( indeed much preferred from overseas collectors) but you must please add 4% to the cost of the piece to cover PayPal costs.
UK collectors can of course use Paypal but the 4% costs are the same.

An Email will secure any item but payment or deposit must be received within 21 days.
Every effort has been made to keep the prices quoted on this website up to date. However, the final price will be confirmed by Email prior to the purchase.
Lay Away Scheme
Any items valued over £200 can be reserved for a 25% deposit. Full payment to be made within 3 months.
No additional charges are made for this service after three months 50% of the deposit will be retained and the remainder returned unless a specific agreement has been entered into.
