A Black pigskin leather Ulan helmet of about 1915 manufacture. Brass fittings throughout..Saxon star and state wappen to front, the helmet plate with super convex shape, probable replacement chinstrap Lining in very good condition Original Reich cockade and Saxon field badge present ( both appear orIginal )..... Green in the photo appears bright it is in fact mid green. There are several markings to the inside . An early good ersatz helmet

H.10 THURINGEN 94TH INFANTRY REGIMENT OFFICERS PICKELHAUBE.
Infantry pattern helmet with gilt fittings. Circular spike base with very high officers spike gilded back strap and peak trim and flat chin scales. Officers Thuringingen and Reichs cockades. Vulcan fibre skull in excellent condition with little wear The desirable 'Depaheg' Patent marking to the canvas lining which is in fine condition though the silk lining shows signs of wear. The helmet plate has the Fur 'Fuerst' bandeau ( a hugely rare plate ) and still retains some mercurial gilding and is of the highest quality. A good looking helmet of a rare German state. Overall very good looking helmet in very good condition.

This helmet is near mint , in superb condition . Superb ''vulcan'' shell complete with officers pale green silk lining. Leather sweatband with ''Oopahog'' Patent stamp Dragoon type squared peak with green under peak colour and red rear under peak. Superb Bavarian frosted gilding the the Bavarian helmet plate with frosted silver reserve cross.. All gilded brass fittings ,ie. Peak trim back strap ,Very tall fluted spike and metal chinstrap are all excellent Large Bavarian cavalry helmet plate. Original Bavarian and Reich Officers cockades. H. 13 BAVARIAN CHEVAULEGER REGIMENT ONE YEAR VOLUNTEER'S OR SENIOR NCO's CAVALRY HELMET.
With its original Fluted trichter and original white horse hair plume. Good leather shell complete with officers type silk and leather lining Dragoon type squared peak. All gilded brass fittings ,i.e.. Peak trim back strap ( with two large rivets..), fluted trichter and metal chinstrap are all excellent Large Bavarian cavalry helmet plate. Original Bavarian and Reich Officers cockades. Fluted trichters are very rare on their own...overall excellent condition.. good size '54' ,,Really excellent. condition..

H.14 PRUSSIAN FIRST FOOT GUARDS REGIMENT OF FOOT MITRE HELMET.
An extremely fine ' One Year Volunteers' mitre of the First or second battalion ( with a black and white wool pom pom. ) The First Foot Garde regiment, 1896 pattern. All the metal parts are solid silver *( This is confirmed with a certificate from the London Assay office stating all parts are 925 or higher silver.) RIVETED TOGETHER and also fixed with metal staples, great detail and fine quality.The bandeau with ''SEMPER TALIS'' . The red fabric and cream tape is full colour and has no damage or mothing. The design of the weaving of the tapes are correct. The leather lining is also correct and in very good condition. The helmet is negative under black light.( the modern copies light up like a christmas trees.). This is a fine detailed One year Volunteer private purchase helmet, There is label to a 'one year volunteer' behind the leather lining with the owners to the inside. The helmet has been lovingly polished over the years and shows a little light wear. Bought from Potsdam, Berlin some years ago. More pictures available on request.
The helmet comes with the London Assay office certificate of Silver content and a letter from an expert referencing its historicity of manufacture .

H. 2 SAXON OR'S FELT PICKELHAUBE 1916.
A field grey pickelhaube  of heavy construction  it has excellent fading behind the Saxon star  helmet plate.  and cockades etc. A detatchable spike etc, all are original. If you know the book   ''Casques a Point   by  Jean-Louis  Larcade,  there is an example of this helmet on page109  and I have see this helmet at Fort de la Pompelle. It is described as an experimental helmet of 1906 but reissued later after 1914.

Black leather with subdued jaeger helmet plate with FR in on its breast with Bandeau mit Gott etc. Black leather and grey metal mounted chinstrap. And a black red and white Reichs cockade and black and white field badge.. White backing appears unfinished but also may be original Stamped to the top inside of the crown with various regimental markings. Nice pale tan leather lining. The chinstrap is an early replacement ... Otherwise a scarce original piece In very good /excellent condition.

H. 36 HELMETS AND HEAD DRESS of the IMPERIAL GERMAN ARMY 1870-1918 Book by RH Rankin produced 1965 ..
Hard back 152 pages of most of the dress helmets in the German army. An Early classic text essential to those with a sense of nostalgia for Pickelhauben, both collectors and fanciers. Very scarce now, in excellent condition.
